I designed and implemented at low cost a virtual EOC (Emergency Operations Center) accessible via secure authentication that allows multiple people to collect, view, and store EOC information. Previously, they were using pen and paper.
I used Adobe Dreamweaver for website design, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for image design, and various G Suite products (including Sheets and Docs) to collect data.
The training event shown in the two videos above had representatives from multiple local government agencies - including the National Guard, the Virginia State Police, and many more. It was a successful first test run of our new virtual EOC.
I assisted in the testing, setup, and implementation of Pittsylvania County's Text to 911 system. Supported carriers include Verizon, AT&T, nTelos, & T-Mobile.
Pittsylvania County has a state of the art P25 Phase 2 700 MHz radio system, supported by over 1,200 Harris mobile and portable radios. On Friday, November 22, 2013 Pittsylvania County became the first Harris-installed P25 Phase 2 system in the United States.
